Available LanguagesLanguage En Río Martín Cultural ParkAs it passes through the first foothills of the Iberian sierra, the Martin River opens deep gorges and straits. They are places of great natural beauty, perfect scenery for hiking and practicing sports activities, which hide a rich historical and artistic heritage. From Albalate to Muniesa the middle channel of the river preserves important samples of rock art, as well as many vestiges of the Iberian past of the region. The Rio Martín Cultural Park is devoted to the protection and promotion of this natural and patrimonial treasure, an expression of the conjunction of man and his natural environment. Albalate del Arzobispo is the only locality of the region of Bajo Martin included in the Park, that starting from this locality goes back the river channel until Montalbán happening through Peñarroyas, Tower of the Arcas, Obón, Alcaine, Oliete, Alacón and Ariño. The Interpretation Centers, in each of the localities of the Park, the tables and panels that illustrate the routes and places of special interest, give a good example of the diffusion vocation of the initiative. The Park is articulated in a series of trekking routes, perfectly signalized, that allow us to enjoy nature while we visit its paintings and deposits. Two of these routes, which runs through the gullies of "Los Estrechos" and "Los Chaparros" and the one that visits the medieval necropolis of the "Lastras de San José" are linked to Albalate. Es Parque Cultural del río MartínAl cruzar las primeras estribaciones de la sierra ibérica, el río Martin abre profundas gargantas y estrechos. Son lugares de gran belleza natural, un paisaje perfecto para el senderismo y la práctica de actividades deportivas, que ocultan un rico patrimonio histórico y artístico. De Albalate a Muniesa el canal medio del río conserva importantes muestras de arte rupestre, así como muchos vestigios del pasado ibérico de la región. El Parque Cultural Río Martín se dedica a la protección y promoción de este tesoro natural y patrimonial, expresión de la conjunción del hombre y su entorno natural. Albalate del Arzobispo es la única localidad de la comarca del Bajo Martín incluida en el Parque, que a partir de esta localidad se remonta el cauce del río hasta Montalbán pasando por Peñarroyas, Torre de las Arcas, Obón, Alcaine, Oliete, Alacón y Ariño. Los Centros de Interpretación, en cada una de las localidades del Parque, las mesas y paneles que ilustran las rutas y lugares de especial interés, dan un buen ejemplo de la vocación de difusión de la iniciativa. El Parque se articula en una serie de rutas de senderismo, perfectamente señalizadas, que nos permiten disfrutar de la naturaleza mientras visitamos sus pinturas y depósitos. Dos de estas rutas, que atraviesan las barrancas de "Los Estrechos" y "Los Chaparros" y la que visita la necrópolis medieval de las "Lastras de San José" están vinculadas a Albalate. Gallery:
