Deruta is a town located about 15 Km from Perugia. It is known for the production of ceramic artefacts. But a visitor can not fail to visit the ancient monuments like the montown hall (XIV c.) where there is the Art Gallery with many paintings from the church of San Francesco, from that of Sant'Antonio Abate, former Hospital of St. James and All Souls Church Ripabianca. There are to visit absolutely the fifty-two paintings donated in 1937 by the heirs of Lione Pascoli including paintings by Niccolò di Liberatore said the Pupil, Perugino, Guido Reni, Fiorenzo di Lorenzo, Peter Van Bloemen, Antonio and Francesco Amorosi Graziani, known as Ciccio Napoletano and others. Other monuments and reliogious buildings to visit are the church of San Francesco built in the Gothic style, the church of Madonna della Cerasa (century. XIX), St. Anne's Church, renovated in '70, etc.
