Available LanguagesLanguage En Bartók Chamber Theatre and House of ArtsThe predecessor of the theater was the Béla Bartók Culture House. It was taken over by the audience in late 1953. In the first 20 years of its operation, it served to educate and entertain the inhabitants of the city and of the ironworks and the settled inhabitants. Nowadays, beside the theatrical performances, the institution provides space for classical music, light music, entertainment events and exhibitions. Hu Bartók Chamber Theatre and House of ArtsBartók Kamaraszínház és Művészetek Háza 1952-53-ban épült Kis Dezső tervei alapján. A szocreál stílusú épület kupolájában látható a V. Gács György által tervezett János vitéz című üvegmozaik. 2000-ben Rombauer Gábor tervei alapján átépítették és bővítették Manapság a színházi előadások mellet zenés estek és kiállítások színhelyeként is funkcionál.
