The oldest building still exists. It is the oldest industrial building in the town and representative for the 19th c industrial construction techniques. It has cast iron columns who beared wooden beams and floors. The main developments took place after it became the ‘Blanchisserie de Courtrai’, when the equipment was modernized and mechanized, when new sheds were added and also a modern office building.
